Real Progress: Practical Conversations & Scenario-Based Lessons
LearnFijian.org is a free, modern resource for learning iTaukei Fijian (Standard Bauan), built for adult English speakers who want practical, respectful, and modern conversation. We’re publishing a complete A1 foundation first — real-world phrases, short dialogues, and scenario-based lessons (greetings, introductions, markets, transport, everyday requests), with clear outcomes and plenty of repetition so the language actually sticks. All core text is translated and checked with native speakers to keep it accurate and natural.
Audio Learning
Audio is a key part of the long-term course, but we won’t pretend it’s here yet. Native-speaker recordings will be captured in Fiji and added shortly after, turning the existing A1 phrases and dialogues into slow practice audio and natural-speed audio (plus shadowing tracks). Until then, the site is still highly useful as a growing phrasebank and learning roadmap — and the core course will remain free.
